About Us
DEERS is a development company that specializes in the development of solar, photovoltaic projects on large commercial roof spaces. We provide a turnkey solution whereby the DEERS Team can
design, build, own and maintain the solar "PV System" that the customer
hosts on their buildings. Our business model allows for our customers to simply pay for the power that is produced through Power Purchase Agreements, requiring no capital outlay. The required capital to do projects comes from utility and federal cash incentives along with the power payments.
DEERS understands that a quality PV project requires a sound roof to house the PV array. Our clients appreciate our 20-years roofing experience and our insight to use the desire to have solar assist in solving a practical problem that they want to solve (roof maintenance). DEERS understands how to package roofing requirements within a PV project to provide our customers “Peace of Mind” when it comes to their roof and enjoyed savings when it comes to life cycle cost reductions.
To further enhance your facility, DEERS has developed a “Component Daylighting System”. Component Daylighting is a patented method of delivering evenly dispersed, well-diffused natural light into buildings interiors. The result of which is a Daylighting unit that is brighter, cleaner and cooler than conventional skylights. The DEERS System also incorporates an artificial lighting system creating a visually stunning product.
DEERS takes a consulting approach to each project. For example, in response to General Motors request / need to acquire a light weight PV System, DEERS developed a state-of-the-art, ultra-light weight PV attachment system. The DEERS Solution is not new but an improved way of attachment. No roof penetrations, removable, yet extremely reliable and durable.
